District Court Mediation Program Training

About District Court Mediation Program Training

In 1987, CDSS designed and implemented the District Criminal Court Mediation programs of Wake, Vance, Warren, Granville, and Franklin Counties. The Mediation Program is staffed by CDSS mediators as well as an exceptional group of volunteer mediators certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.

Thousands of civil and criminal cases have been resolved through these programs, easing overcrowded dockets and affording the courts needed time to try cases that must be resolved through trial. CDSS administers this vital program for mediators in the 9th and 10th Districts and trains mediators throughout the state.
