Mark Morris, Esq.

Mark Morris, JD, LLM is Professor of Law and the Executive Director to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute at North Carolina Central University School Of Law. Professor Morris also instructs the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic, Torts and Employment Law. Professor Morris’s mediation practice focuses on civil cases including employment matters, land condemnation, professional malpractice, personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. He is the co-author of North Carolina Law of Torts, 2nd edition (Lexis, 1999) and has written widely on tort liability and risk management in various industries and professions. Professor Morris is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA 72); North Carolina Central School of Law (JD, summa cum laude, 82); and Harvard Law School (LLM 83). He is a member of the North Carolina and Florida State Bar. Professor Morris has been certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct superior court civil actions since 1994. Professor Morris serves as both a speaker and trainer at various mediation seminars including the National American Bar Association ADR Section as well as governmental agencies and business.
